EX-POSTAL WORKER HAS BEEN CHARGED FOR THROWING BALLOTS IN DUMPSTERS

30 years old DeShawn Bojgere, a former US Postal Service worker has been charged for tossing dozens of absentee ballots and other emails into a dumpster in Kentucky said the federal prosecutors.

US Attorney Russell Coleman’s office said, the man no longer works for USPS and was charged with delay or destruction of mail in connection with the ballot dumb that happened earlier of this month.

More than 100 general election ballots that had been sent out to voters had been discarded at a construction dumpster. They were thrown along with 69 mixed class pieces of mail, 320 second-class pieces of mail, and two national election campaign flyers from a political party in Florida.

Prosecutors said that “An analysis of the mail revealed it was from a single route for one scheduled delivery day.”

He also admitted that he was responsible for discarding the mails to the Postal Service special agents.

Coleman said that “Especially in these times, Americans depend on the reliability and integrity of those that deliver the US Mail. Conduct by Postal employees that violates that duty will result in swift federal prosecution.”

If he is convicted, the man will face up to five years in jail and a fine of $250,000.
