Mississippi – A man has died following a car crash involving an 18-wheeler early Thursday morning in Marshall County, Mississippi, according to reports.
Around 2:30 a.m., Holly Springs Police officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 22 eastbound, near mile marker 29, involving an 18-wheeler.
The Mississippi coroner confirmed that the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, all lanes in both directions remain blocked. Drivers are advised to expect delays and find alternative routes.
With the Mississippi Department of Transportation advising drivers to seek alternate routes, it is clear that the impact of the crash extended well beyond the immediate vicinity, reports Action News 5.
